Finding some one to sell for you in your area
If you want to sell items on eBay, but don't have the time, you can work with someone in your local area to do it for you. Benefits include:

  • Save time and effort. The seller handles every aspect of selling your item on eBay, from listing theitem to shipping it to the buyer.
  • Take advantage of selling expertise. They should have experience selling on eBay and be in good standing in the eBay Community. Check out their store.  Many of them specialize in certain categories and know how to sell your type of item for maximum value.
  • Make money. When your item sells, the person passes the profit on to you (after taking out fees).
Finding the right re-seller

Selling experience. Within member's profile, click on the "Items for Sale" link to see items they're currently selling, or click on item numbers to see items they've sold in the past. This will give you an idea of their approach to selling and indicate whether they have experience selling your type of item.

When you've narrowed down your list of candidates, contact them using the information in ebay about contact the seller. Be sure to discuss any fees, terms and procedures in detail.
ebay no longer has a Trading assistant program but if you are looking for someone to sell your items on consignment, consider the information below.
Things you should know about Trading Assistants

Expect a wide range of fees and services. Low fees might mean less experience or they will take the eBay and PayPal fees from your profit before paying you.  Either is OK, just make sure you understand how they work.

ebay members are responsible for ensuring items listed on eBay are legal to sell.  They also are responsible for making sure the item is as stated and is available so don't be surprised if they want to take possession of the items.  Be sure to get a receipt. Also clarify and agree to what they do with items they don't sell.  This is best in writing as well.
